Alps Alpine North America, Inc. has introduced the AutoEQ 2.0 update for its OPTIM™ Sound Processor line, bringing full smartphone compatibility, Android™ support, “Center Image Mode,” and additional target curve presets for enhanced tuning.
“This update builds on the success of OPTIM™ technology, making precise sound tuning even easier,” said Gregg Thomas, Director of National Sales for Alpine.
The OPTIM™8 (PXE-C80-88) and OPTIM™6 (PXE-C60-60), first launched in 2023, simplified DSP tuning with an automatic calibration process. With AutoEQ 2.0, users can now control tuning via a smartphone app (available for iPhone® and Android™) over Bluetooth®, eliminating the need for a laptop—though PC tuning remains an option.
The new “Center Image Mode” instantly optimizes sound positioning for a front-and-center listening experience, while three additional target curve presets allow users to switch between four tuning settings for a personalized audio environment. The included RUX-CSP1 controller has also been updated for easier preset access.
